Tutorial: How to Convert PDF to DXF with AutoCAD Add-in Version?
Here we just show you the steps of converting PDF to DXF by using the AutoCAD Add-in version. If you want to use the Stand-alone version to do the conversion, please refer to the guide of converting PDF to DWG. The conversion process of using SA version software would be similar.
Step 1: Launch AutoCAD
Launch the AutoCAD once you've installed the AutoCAD Add-in version of PDF to DWG Converter. Then type PDFIN in AutoCAD Command line. You will see a dialog when everything goes well. Then you just need click the "Continue" button to continue. If it doesn't work, please see following solutions to resolve it.
Solution 1: Go to the program folder you installed the PDF to DXF converting software in. Run the program autoload.exe and launch the AutoCAD again.
Solution 2: Launch AutoCAD. Enter "ARX" from command line and then press "L" to load. And then go to the program folder where you have installed the PDFIn version converter. Select appropriate arx version according to your AutoCAD version.
Step 2: Input PDF File
Select and input a PDF file into the converting program. Then select the output File version and File Type as DXF format. This software will automatically generate the output file name and path. But if you want, you can also manually specify the file location and file name.
Step 3: Start Conversion
If you have done all above settings, simply click "Convert" button to convert PDF to DXF.
